Diabetes at School

Most schools are very supportive of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes. However, communicating clearly with the school and your child’s teachers is vital. It is important not to overload the staff with information. There are resources to help you to give your child’s school the appropriate information that they need to keep your child safe, happy and well.
These include:

School Pack

The school pack is designed to assist teachers and staff in schools to understand type 1 diabetes and how to manage the student with diabetes in the school setting. For details of the contents of the school pack click here. You can even download a copy to give to your child’s school.
