When you get ketoacidosis what does it do to your body because I had it a couple of weeks ago and we caught it too late and we went to Port Augusta and then my dad and I went in the flying doctor and went to Adelaide and I stayed there a week.

My Grandson was diagnosed 4 months ago with type 1 diabetes at the age of 19 months. His parents are doing a wonderful job in maintaining his levels. The problem comes when he is unwell he refuses to eat he can hold a mouth full of food in his mouth for an hour. My daughter in law is at her wits end on how to entice him to eat. He will not eat any of his favourite biscuits, etc. He won't even eat a lolly. He eats his morning cereal with banana on it with much encouragement but that’s about it. Fortunately he still has a bottle and he drinks his milk at bedtime and before his sleep at night. Can you suggest some ideas on how to coax him to eat during these unwell periods. Many Thanks Judy

Is there any way to not vomit because the other day I did and I had to go to hospital and get a drip and it really hurt!?
