I visit a 36 yr old male with mental health issues, he had diabetes with poor insulin levels and drinks a lot of diet coke, when I read the info on the bottle it says no sugar content. Is diet coke OK for my client? Also his parents cook all his meals which is great but could you please give me/him some ideals for healthy snack food because he loves the sugary snack and his Doctor is not happy. Hi, my daughter has had type 1 diabetes for almost 2 yrs. She is 12. We have just found out we both have coeliac disease. She is yet to have biopsy of small intestine, she tested positive from a blood test. My son is 2yrs & 9months, he was diagnosed with type 1 in January of this year. He goes to bed with a bottle of milk at night, and through out the night, might, but not always, have another 1 or 2, I took him to the dentist about 2 weeks ago, as his teeth are starting to decay from the milk, and he is up for @$3000 worth of work, and dentist told me that the only safest thing to put in the bottle is water, and to brush his teeth every time he had a bottle (I’d be up brushing his teeth every so many hours) and to speak to doctor about other alternatives! So from then on, for a couple of nights I only gave him water but found his levels dropped dramatically throughout the night! Someone told me to get some oat milk, and what I wanted to know is will this milk be a better alternative for him &/or rice milk, as the person who told me this says it doesn’t have any acids in it like cows milk and is all natural. I have been giving him oat milk from then on. I’m in a dilemma, since he has been diagnosed I haven’t had 1 full night of unbroken sleep, and I don’t have any relatives that live near me to help out

Hi, I was wondering, when you eat food it turns into sugar and energy and then is used up when you exercise and if you don't use it up it turns into fat. Well for diabetics if they use insulin which lowers the amount of sugar then does that mean that there is less sugar to be turned into fat? Please tell me, from Stephanie

Hi, I am on 2 injections per day. Protophane and Actrapid combined. I am always feeling hunger pains and my diabetes educator says that it is from the insulin.
