No matter how much protophane I have before I go to bed I am always around 20mmol/L in the morning. My son is 11 yrs old and has had diabetes for 4yrs and has changed from NPH to Lantus only 6 weeks ago). He always had good control but was putting on a little weight hence the change to Lantus. With Lantus I have noticed that we can't get good control, adjusting Lantus either makes him high or low in the morning with a lot of highs during the day. How long do you need to stay on Lantus to see if it's right for you? Also does Lantus work for everyone? Is it possible to go back to NPH? Concerned Mum
